Brahmi powder is high in antioxidants and is also a source of Bacoside A and Bacoside B. Bacoside A has been used to improve blood flow and Bacoside B is claimed to help protect brain cells.
Considered to be an important ingredient within Ayurvedic medicine as a general brain or nerve tonic. It is also used eternally to help promote skin healing.
How to take or use Brahmi Powder
When used for the skin, the powder can be incorporated into a paste and applied directly. For internal use it is best used as part of an infusion, the typical daily dose is half a teaspoon, although you should consult an expert if unsure as to the correct usage.
Side effects may include: dry mouth, increased bowel movements, nausea and indigestion. You should consult your doctor before use if taking any medication containing estrogen or phenothiazine as brahmi may interact with these.
